About
Jen Uschold grew up outside of Buffalo, NY and has been a PT for over 3 decades. She is a 1991 graduate from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. She has worked in multiple treatment environments including travel PT. She settled into an outpatient focus for the past 25 years. Her approach with patients has been strongly influenced by the Institute of Physical Art and the International Spine and Pain Institute (now Evidence In Motion).
She was thrilled to present "Pain is NOT a Life Sentence" at the 2025 Waves of Change conference in Charleston SC.
Out of her love for PT and helping others to empower themselves, she was drawn to both pain science and health coaching. She is proud to have been in the first cohort passing the exam to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach in 2017. She has completed extensive training studying persistent pain including a Fellowship in Pain Science with Evidence in Motion. Jen is an eager learner and has also studied Lifestyle Medicine and most recently has become Certified Positive Intelligence Coach for Mental Fitness.
Jen loves and has been teaching since 1998 with companies in Chicago, Virginia, Colorado, and internationally. Jen has owned a small private practice since 2007. She has created multiple courses over the decades on a variety of topics-including Holistic Divorce preparation. She is thrilled to be the Program Director for the Certification in Lifestyle Medicine at EIM (Evidence in Motion) where she also teaches Pain Science courses. Jen has owned a small private practice since 2007.
Outside of physical therapy and coaching, Jen is a passionate mom to three (mostly grown) kids while seeking laughter and connection with others. Her kids are her three favorite people are Adrianna, J, and Dean! As the saying goes, laughter is good medicine and Jen wholeheartedly agrees. Let's connect!
