Georgia Cobb County DeKalb County Fulton County Gwinnett County Legal Lawyer- Divorce and Family Law

About

Atlanta-based attorney, Jill Massey, always knew she wanted to practice law. A trial attorney at heart, family law was not initially on her radar, she admits.

I envisioned myself practicing criminal defense – I felt it was the area where I could really make a difference in a system that doesn’t always play fair.”

But when the largest family law firm in the country wanted Jill on their team, she decided to take a chance – And the rest is history! She quickly rose in the ranks, consistently receiving recognition as a top performer year after year. Having dedicated her entire career to the practice family law, Jill brings a wealth of knowledge and a honed skillset that distinguishes her amongst her peers. The multi-state family law firm, Brown Carrington, PLLC, recruited Jill to open their Georgia market in 2025.

Jill has called Georgia home for over a decade, but make no mistake, she bleeds Kentucky blue! She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Business Administration, double majoring in finance and business management. Her background in finance/business affords Jill a distinct advantage as a family law practitioner.

The financial issues inherent to divorce and other family law matters are often complex and can be intimidating, even to experienced attorneys. My clients are always pleased to learn that I have a leg to stand on when it comes to the financial aspect of their case.

Jill’s passion for advocacy isn’t all business, though. She prioritizes the ‘human element’ as an essential component to fostering the attorney-client relationship.

I aim to never lose sight of the fact that my clients are real people going through real struggles. Realistically, there is no shortage of capable attorneys. To be entrusted in this profession is a great privilege that comes with great responsibility. When a client puts their trust in me, I take it seriously. I take it personally.”
