Cary Jacobson, Esquire is the founder and CEO of Jacobson Family Law. Cary has been practicing law for over a decade, having successfully represented clients in all facets of family law proceedings in Maryland. Jacobson Family Law assists clients in creating out-of-court solutions to their separation, divorce, custody, and other family law matters without the drama and stress associated with traditional litigation. Additionally, Jacobson Family Law assists clients with protecting their assets through the negotiation of pre/post-nuptial agreements and estate planning.

As a trained Maryland Collaborative Divorce Attorney and Divorce Mediator, Cary works with clients by listening to their concerns and helping them identify their goals and interests for the divorce process as well as the future beyond it. Cary is skilled in a variety of dispute resolution options and helps identify what divorce process is best for her clients’ needs.

Cary graduated from the University of North Carolina Asheville with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and the University of Baltimore School of Law with her Juris Doctorate magna cum laude. She is admitted to practice law throughout the State of Maryland. Cary is a certified child custody mediator, Best Interest Attorney, Child Advocate Attorney, and Child Privilege Attorney.

Cary has been recognized as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers from 2016 to 2020 and as a Super Lawyer from 2021 to 2023. She is a current member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Howard County Bar Association, Women's Bar Association of Maryland, and the recent Past President of the Howard County Collaborative Professionals as well as the Maryland Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

Fees

Jacobson Family Law offers flat fee packages for mediation services, settlement negotiations, and uncontested divorces. We charge hourly for collaborative divorce cases.
